The Honorable Christopher Suprun, NRP, FP-C


Christopher Suprun is one of Never Forget Foundation's founding members. His past resume has spanned more than twenty years as a paramedic/firefighter and he has served on numerous career incidents including responding to the September 11 attack on the Pentagon as a member of the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department.

Suprun still works the streets, most recently as a flight paramedic and is former Chairman of the EMS for Children National Resource Center Advisory Council. He has previously been affiliated as an Adjunct Instructor in Emergency Medicine for The George Washington University. He has taught on a wide variety of subjects for local public safety agencies and hospitals, the FBI, Secret Service, Bureau of Prisons, and Federal Air Marshals Service, Fortune 500 and Big Four tax firms, and foreign governments.

Suprun has also been involved in senior local and national government appointed and elected positions helping create, implement, and communicate policy. In addition to his work in the public safety arena, he has been a member of the Electoral College representing Texas and worked for two Governors as a Special Assistant, and in communication positions for network television, a United States Senator, and the White House.

As an EMS speaker, he has crossed the country and globe speaking on a wide variety of topics and he has published or contributed to nearly fifty articles in magazines such as Emergency Medical Services, Fire Chief, FireEMS, and JEMS, as well as emergency medical textbooks. These articles have covered topics on airway management, cardiology, EMS education, and terrorism response.

Mr. Suprun has been recognized for his leadership by state legislatures in Texas and Virginia, Little League Baseball International, and as Rookie Firefighter Of The Year by his first home, the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department. He was also recognized more recently for his lifetime of commitment to teaching children to overcome adversity and challenge by the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation.

You have seen him appear in local and national news writing for the New York Times, Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, and appearing on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, syndicated and national radio programs, and many others.

His other professional obligations include, or have include service as President of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 3474; a national reviewer for the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for EMS; and inaugural classmember of the Leadership Dallas ISD 2011 class.

Airway, Breathing, and Circulation Topics
